HP Responsible Business Award
Are you 15-18 years old and running your own JA-YE student company?
Does your student company have a chance to participate in the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year Competition in 2010?
Then you can take part in this contest.
Successful companies nowadays are measured not just against their financial performance, but also against their ability to balance the economical, environmental and social aspects of running a business. This project is designed to spotlight a company’s so-called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and encourage you to take this responsibility into consideration as you build your own student enterprises.

Award Criteria
The Award will be given to student companies who do the best job at integrating the following criteria into their business plan and operations:
- Strong financial performance: showing the ability to be profitable and competitive, bring benefits to shareholders and secure long-term growth and job security
- Social responsibility: meeting the wider concerns of stakeholders such as employees, suppliers, customers and local communities
- Environmental excellence: preventing pollution, optimizing resource efficiency and developing products with minimal environmental impacts
- Innovation: Innovative approach of business solution
How to compete?
Your company must be one of the contestants in the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year Competition in 2009 which will take place July 2010 in Italy. At this event, a special jury will judge your student company within the award criteria. In addition, each of the team members must have the Responsible Business Certificate (which you can complete online here.)
Time Frame:
September 1st, 2009 - Responsible Business Certificates are available online
Prizes - HP Products
The winning team will receive an HP product for each member of the team (max 5).
