Responsible Business Ideas Contest

This contest awards the best responsible business ideas from students across Europe.
It is open to all students in Europe who are 15-18 years old.
What can be submitted?
You can submit an idea for a possible business (product, service or both) which meets the contest criteria.
Contest Criteria
The best ideas will be judged on the following criteria:
- Demonstrate strong market potential: showing the ability to be profitable and competitive
- Demonstrate social responsibility: meeting the wider concerns of stakeholders such as employees, suppliers, customers and local communities
- Demonstrate environmental excellence: preventing pollution, optimising resource efficiency and developing products with minimal environmental impacts
- Be innovative: Innovative approach of business solution
Time Frame: September 1st, 2009 - May 31st, 2010
Participate and Win!
Minimal investment, maximum yield: Describe your idea and convince us on maximum three A4 pages, brief and to the point, why your responsible business idea deserves to win. Please submit your idea in English.
Submission process
Each individual or team can submit their business ideas in the following way:
- in their own language to the national JA-YE organisation should they participate in a JA-YE programme
- in English on this website by uploading the document
Submissions received after the deadline (May 31st 2010) will not be considered.
What happens next?
The organisers will review all received proposals and present them to an international jury of HP experts and JA-YE representatives. The jury will then produce a shortlist and select the winner. The winner will be announced on this website on June 15, 2010.
Awards
The winning team will receive an HP product for each member of the team (max. 5) and each member of the team (max. 5) will be invited to attend the JA-YE Europe Company of the Year Competition 2010 which will take place in July 2010 in Italy.
